to people who were sad the site was closing.

Why not set up a donations system or something?
I've seen free services that don't make it mandatory to pay, but they provide a link to donate to them out of kindness and consideration for how much the services cost. It might be a decent idea for this site, so people wouldn't complain about the ads so much. I like this site, and it's getting too good to see it start decaying anytime soon.

Dammit, I didn't take YDKJMF's response to be spiteful or a complaint. I find it revolting that someone used my thanks as a weapon. Of course, we all should turn off Adblocker Plus (and I do unblock the ads here), but I'm afraid that most people won't do such. I really don't blame YDKJMF for being frustrated with people, when they take and don't do anything that could help him get a little money (like clicking on ads – not even following through, just clicking them) or sending him hate mail because they're frustrated that he's angry with us.
